Box Hill

(Day 1) Day drinking. My first visit to Bar Nearby. The beer list was surprisingly limited. They were friendly and told me to walk 9 min to Natural Science in Laburnum, rather than bother with an uber. It was solid advice. 

I enjoyed Natural Science better. Amazing beer selection in the fridge, which included my absolutely favourite brewers, Range (Bris.). I meet the proprietor, Tristan (who is presumably the owner and manager?). They had a winemaker giving free tastings, so i did that. All excellent for their style. 

It was busy, do I asked to sit with a local couple. And assured them they wouldn't hear a peep out of me. Then proceeded to talk their ear off. I had them engaged and laughing which felt good.

Then ended up at Forager's Drop, my local fancy beer bar in Mitcham. I walked home. Via one more beer at the Mitcham Social.

There were Christmas lights a little out of my way that caught my eye. I wandered around this back streets off Rooks Rd to see what the residence had done with their light displays. Usually i am not so fussed about such sentimental traditions/displays. I was relaxed, a bit drunk, energised, and in an exploratory mood.
