(Day 2) L took me to see her sister's band. I would call it pop-punk. Between bands, I enjoyed meeting with her sister and chatting with her partner who is a flight instructor. It was shorts and thongs weather. L's shoulders looked really sexy to me.
I spotted a Be Free sticker in the stairwell on the way to the toilets. It felt like a signpost. That feeling that i was in that moment exactly where i needed to be.
At some point during the evening, i briefly ran into a friend of a friend T and had a quick, upbeat, highly-energetic-albeit-slightly-intoxicated chat with her before quickly moving on. (Several days later, it gets back to me that she thought i "looked hot". That night perhaps i did‽)
After the gig, just L and i went to an Irish pub. It was only about a block away. Bobby Peels? We walked in on about 8 musicians sitting in a circle, playing Irish tunes. Somebody would start playing a famous, old melody and others would join in with accompanying musical parts. It was fascinating to watch and listen to. An unbelievably lucky find. And a perfect way to wind down for the two of us. Alone after the punk rock bands, we sat and chatted quietly over in one corner ... until they called last drinks.
She drove me home. We essentially have the same car, so any tiny differences were disproportionately interesting for us to notice and assess.
