Edinborough Castle Hotel
(Day 26) Sydney Rd, Brunswick. My friend R played a gig in the back beer-garden. I had several wines.

Afterwards, I tried to surprise my trivia team in Smith St, Collingwood — however by 10pm they had already left the pub. Instead, I went to Holy Diver for a pot of beer, and then The Mill for a few more. I met the barchick "Sawsha", who is one of the owners (i think). And a young guy named Zen who had bought tinnies "to pre-game before a DJ at midnight". Since the bar was essentially empty, i convinced him to stick around to have a pot with me. When he left he gifted me 2 cans of beer (Panacea was closed.)

The morning started with a lovely brunch with A in Glen Iris. I'd accidentally over-stayed in my carpark — but i wasn't fined. On the way home, i stopped in on 3 Ravens for a mid-strength pot of beer, and then The Royston (Craft & co was closed.)

I also quickly dropped in on Bridge Hotel in Richmond to take an updated photo of the Be Free, and confirm she was still there. It is the one with the girl wearing the dress made it of playing-cards.

Sulpher-crested chimkens (Rowville - Mitcham) On my morning walk i saw A's old neighbour, S. We had a quick conversation by shouting accross the road - him in his car at the traffic lights & me waiting to cross the road I was up early and straight into the shower, rather than checking my phone too throughly. I feel that my morning scrolling is best done over a coffee – however tempting it is as a daily-first-thing to pick up the phone to check "all of the things" (news, chat notifications, email, wordle) It must have been too chilly for the chickens up on boronia rd. They were not out pecking in the yard which seemed unusual. Presumably the were huddled up in the coop – i couldn't really see in N and i went to Project Brewing in roweville for the first time. The beers were very good. Catfish (Mitcham - Vermont - Brunswick) Got home at 9:30am. Shower. Meditate. Back out 1-3pm Range Brewing tap takeover at co-conspirators, brunswick. Surprised by "The Don" And then Catfish in gertrude st. Garage Project takeover. Two highlights were the barrel sours Foragers for a final "full stop" beer ... or two. Boriggy Hazy IPA. N closed the door as we left the bar —habitually— as if they had called last-drinks, which next day we figured was too early by about 5 hrs. Hilarious In bed by 8:30pm or so

Foragers A few laid-back beers turned into a fairly big session of Jagermeister, huge barrel-aged stouts, and IPAs I've parked nearby, so i'll stay over at N's apartment tonight & leave early when she needs to go to work Overall i feel grateful & relaxed. I've heard some things that make me think that this fling might be a thing - unsure how i feel about that but for sure it's feeling overwhelmingly like positive vibes 12:21am
