(Day 2) Inked². Mini breakfast with N. We chatted for 2 hours. I tried a decaf magic, not great. And then we walked for 45 min, the length of Snorkel st

Houseparty in Mitcham. Picked up a 4-pack of beers from A Point of Difference, plus two big 8.5% tinnies. Hazy IPAs and DIPAs. All were great. I didn't keep the cans. If i did they would be recorded up here (Flickr)

I walked 15 min from APOD to the house. It felt nice to be invited. I knew several people from Foragers. We all sat around a fire in the huge backyard. The dogs were friendly, Sonni (white staffi) and Tia (italian greyhound)

Close enough to walk home. Instead caught an uber. Damn i think i forgot to grab her hops rhyzome from the crisper! *Checks fridge* Evidently i did remember to take it home. Great!

J is leaving Mitcham. Her new place is in Wantirna South. Movers will take the fridge on Wednesday. She has given me a hops rhyzome, so that her plant can live on in my yard. She said nobody else wanted it

Google says early Spring is the best time to plant it. For now it will live in my fridge's vegetable crisper.

Sulpher-crested chimkens (Rowville - Mitcham) On my morning walk i saw A's old neighbour, S. We had a quick conversation by shouting accross the road - him in his car at the traffic lights & me waiting to cross the road I was up early and straight into the shower, rather than checking my phone too throughly. I feel that my morning scrolling is best done over a coffee – however tempting it is as a daily-first-thing to pick up the phone to check "all of the things" (news, chat notifications, email, wordle) It must have been too chilly for the chickens up on boronia rd. They were not out pecking in the yard which seemed unusual. Presumably the were huddled up in the coop – i couldn't really see in N and i went to Project Brewing in roweville for the first time. The beers were very good. I had a burger and we are quite sure they delivered a different burger than what i ordered - regardless it was tasty (even perhaps better ingredients than what i had chosen) Back to f...

Catfish (Mitcham - Vermont - Brunswick) Got home at 9:30am. Shower. Meditate. Back out 1-3pm Range Brewing tap takeover at co-conspirators, brunswick. Surprised by "The Don" And then Catfish in gertrude st. Garage Project takeover. Two highlights were the barrel sours Foragers for a final "full stop" beer ... or two. Boriggy Hazy IPA. N closed the door as we left the bar —habitually— as if they had called last-drinks, which next day we figured was too early by about 5 hrs. Hilarious In bed by 8:30pm or so

Foragers A few laid-back beers turned into a fairly big session of Jagermeister, huge barrel-aged stouts, and IPAs I've parked nearby, so i'll stay over at N's apartment tonight & leave early when she needs to go to work Overall i feel grateful & relaxed. I've heard some things that make me think that this fling might be a thing - unsure how i feel about that but for sure it's feeling overwhelmingly like positive vibes 12:21am
