Rainy drizzly day, so we didn't get to go for a walk

My latest ebay purchase got delivered safely, a japanese rhino beetle. I'm really happy with it

Did weights & listened to podcasts (Alt Ctrl Speech) some death metal, and some synthwave

Blood Incantation (USA) at Northcote Theatre w/ Secret Chiefs who were eclectic, talented, entertaining

• Cosmic metal was fantastic. I smiled the whole time. I thought they might be a great band to see live because of the wacky cosmic sections and the echoey death metal sections. They were better than great. One of my favourite gigs in recent memory 

• One dude's tshirt read (in giant letters across his back) COSMIC MUSIC FOR COSMIC PEOPLE. Which is a homage to a famous Morbid Angel tshirt: extreme music for extreme people (which i have also always liked: the shirt, not the band really)

• Hats & Tats was fun, it's an emo bar. Some songs came on where everybody burst into song. They played some tunes i knew like Audioslave

• I started out very late. l was Kirk Hammetted at the Tram stop, at Hats & Tats, and at Cherry Bar — jam-packed, over capacity. We couldn't even get in at Heartbreaker

Sulpher-crested chimkens (Rowville - Mitcham) On my morning walk i saw A's old neighbour, S. We had a quick conversation by shouting accross the road - him in his car at the traffic lights & me waiting to cross the road I was up early and straight into the shower, rather than checking my phone too throughly. I feel that my morning scrolling is best done over a coffee – however tempting it is as a daily-first-thing to pick up the phone to check "all of the things" (news, chat notifications, email, wordle) It must have been too chilly for the chickens up on boronia rd. They were not out pecking in the yard which seemed unusual. Presumably the were huddled up in the coop – i couldn't really see in N and i went to Project Brewing in roweville for the first time. The beers were very good. I had a burger and we are quite sure they delivered a different burger than what i ordered - regardless it was tasty (even perhaps better ingredients than what i had chosen) Back to f...

Catfish (Mitcham - Vermont - Brunswick) Got home at 9:30am. Shower. Meditate. Back out 1-3pm Range Brewing tap takeover at co-conspirators, brunswick. Surprised by "The Don" And then Catfish in gertrude st. Garage Project takeover. Two highlights were the barrel sours Foragers for a final "full stop" beer ... or two. Boriggy Hazy IPA. N closed the door as we left the bar —habitually— as if they had called last-drinks, which next day we figured was too early by about 5 hrs. Hilarious In bed by 8:30pm or so

Foragers A few laid-back beers turned into a fairly big session of Jagermeister, huge barrel-aged stouts, and IPAs I've parked nearby, so i'll stay over at N's apartment tonight & leave early when she needs to go to work Overall i feel grateful & relaxed. I've heard some things that make me think that this fling might be a thing - unsure how i feel about that but for sure it's feeling overwhelmingly like positive vibes 12:21am
