2025-11-28 (Tooronga)
Worked at Tooronga, my customer's head office
Miso & Peanut Butter cookie with my coffee
Drove to the office ~ 25min. My customer has Fridays in the office, so i drive in to join the team. It is only once a week (usually) so it isn't too tiring
However, Fridays used to be my most productive day: and now they are my least productive
Also: my customer used to have "meeting free" Fridays. And now it is the only day that everybody is free for a meeting, so the project managers will book time in our calendar
When everybody's calendar is full, that probably means they need more staff? but that means $$$
RICHMOND ~ 7:30pm
Bar 360 is a small bottleshop with corkage. I have actually been here before (under another name)
The beer selection is wide ranging. A little bit of everything & some brand new releases
I order a beer called "Run" (One Drop, NSW) Then the guy who served me played Iron Maiden's run to the hills. I'm basically the only one here ~ 8pm
• I got Slash'd
• then The Darkness'd (i don't know his name)
LEADBEATER ~ 8:30pm
I had a quick chat with E from Father Daddy, but they were on really late ~ 10:30pm
• I got Chris Cornell'd
LAST CHANCE — ROCK N ROLL BAR until ~ 12am
Met up with R from Canberra and M (and S who was not supposed to be there)
• I got Kirk Hammett'd
Molly Meldrum-looking guy: Hawaiian shirt. Unbuttoned half way. Some kind of brimmed hat. He said he was 62 but he looked late 40s. Friendly, smiley
"I was in Bali. And the locals thought i was him. The guitarist from Metallica. Oh. I'm so drunk. What was i saying"
He bought a round of pints for the 3 of us. I kept weaving Do yourself a favour into the conversation but i don't think he caught on, others did a double-take at him and then laughed in spite of themselves
I went to leave Last Chance at 10:30pm to go back to Leadbeater to see my mate E's band — but the uber surge pricing was double what i was expecting (due to the rain?) so i stayed until 00:00
