Woke up early

Watched last night's Planet America — half before my shower & then the 2nd half "as a podcast" in my car: Iran strike, Epstein deposition of Clintons

Drive to work: 45 min, the longest it's ever been. It didn't bother me. I was plenty early. Listened to a couple of tunes. Then caught up on a pod about Iran being bombed by USA (again) this week

Coffee, bacon & egg muffin

My manager annouced that he wasn't coming in to the office today (due to a conference). I'm expecting that will dissuade my colleagues from attending today too — which should result in a quiet day for me

I found last Friday uncharacteristically disruptive — due to morning team coffee, in-person meeting, lunch together (that kind of thing, i don't recall exactly). Anyway, it didn't bother me because (1) return-to-office feels like a decision to be less productive this year, and (2) my project will no doubt overshoot it's deadline by many months 

On M's metal group chat, i see it's $300 for iron maiden tickets. Presumably will be their last tour 

12:15 - 1:15 PM
Lunch in the cafeteria w/ E

Quick walk around the block by myself, which i like to do after having lunch here

Crested pigeons, rainbow lorikeets, regular rock pigeons, that's about it

6:30 - 9 PM
Foragers for 2 pots. Sat in for Korean with N. Then back to Foragers for a final pot: Hawkers SoCal IPA

Total steps: 5,000

Sulpher-crested chimkens (Rowville - Mitcham) On my morning walk i saw A's old neighbour, S. We had a quick conversation by shouting accross the road - him in his car at the traffic lights & me waiting to cross the road I was up early and straight into the shower, rather than checking my phone too throughly. I feel that my morning scrolling is best done over a coffee – however tempting it is as a daily-first-thing to pick up the phone to check "all of the things" (news, chat notifications, email, wordle) It must have been too chilly for the chickens up on boronia rd. They were not out pecking in the yard which seemed unusual. Presumably the were huddled up in the coop – i couldn't really see in N and i went to Project Brewing in roweville for the first time. The beers were very good. I had a burger and we are quite sure they delivered a different burger than what i ordered - regardless it was tasty (even perhaps better ingredients than what i had chosen) Back to f...

Foragers A few laid-back beers turned into a fairly big session of Jagermeister, huge barrel-aged stouts, and IPAs I've parked nearby, so i'll stay over at N's apartment tonight & leave early when she needs to go to work Overall i feel grateful & relaxed. I've heard some things that make me think that this fling might be a thing - unsure how i feel about that but for sure it's feeling overwhelmingly like positive vibes 12:21am

Catfish (Mitcham - Vermont - Brunswick) Got home at 9:30am. Shower. Meditate. Back out 1-3pm Range Brewing tap takeover at co-conspirators, brunswick. Surprised by "The Don" And then Catfish in gertrude st. Garage Project takeover. Two highlights were the barrel sours Foragers for a final "full stop" beer ... or two. Boriggy Hazy IPA. N closed the door as we left the bar —habitually— as if they had called last-drinks, which next day we figured was too early by about 5 hrs. Hilarious In bed by 8:30pm or so
