Worked at Tooronga, my customer's head office Miso & Peanut Butter cookie with my coffee Drove to the office ~ 25min. My customer has Fridays in the office, so i drive in to join the team. It is only once a week (usually) so it isn't too tiring However, Fridays used to be my most productive day: and now they are my least productive  Also: my customer used to have "meeting free" Fridays. And now it is the only day that everybody is free for a meeting, so the project managers will book time in our calendar When everybody's calendar is full, that probably means they need more staff? but that means $$$ RICHMOND ~ 7:30pm Bar 360 is a small bottleshop with corkage. I have actually been here before (under another name) The beer selection is wide ranging. A little bit of everything & some brand new releases I order a beer called "Run" (One Drop, NSW) Then the guy who served me played Iron Maiden's run to the hills. I'm basically the o...

There were only 5 teams left in the end DJ Hot Wheels voucher valid for 3 months I wished i had more energy to drop in on Catfish for a fullstop beer, but super tired & uber got me home by 10:20 pm TRIVIA REPORTBACK They had a little screen where you could re-read the question. It was '80s pixel art like Mario Bros And each question had a little animated gif that went with it. It was tastefully done. (Usually, more screen time isn'tt what we are seeking when we go to pub quiz) I took photos of the tiles on the DJ booth. They looked like lizard skin, but in a vibrant blue Total steps: 6,000

Very many kangeroos at mullum mullum N and i saw 2 kingfishers at mullum mullum. They are much smaller than i thought. I had to google to check what they really were.  Then at the bird hide behind bunnings in vermont south, a pelican. Which must have been 30 min from the nearest ocean. Hanging out with half a dozen cormorants — which kind of makes sense i guess Mitcham Social, we got a good deal on the wines — thanks to the young bar manager we know Full stop beer (or two) at Foragers Total steps: 16,000

Tooronga. Samoid "Heidi" came into Nigel café I was invited to have a pat but i felt too "hands full" with a coffee, bacon & egg muffin, backpack, lanyard She may have covered me in her white dog-hair Today wearing head to toe black: New boots, straight jeans. Hoodie.  Overheard colleagues joking around in the work food-court say:  "Have a good day at school," i found it amusing RINGWOOD/CROYDON Budgie smugglers, quality cocktails (young crowd, meat market) w/ L and G + Stu ~ 7:30 pm McAdams wine bar, fairly quiet which i hoped for (2 bar staff) a group of older folk & a group of younger folk. The posh pinot noir was spot on. Next time i'd like to try the tapas. It was ~ 10 pm Ten Saints was same as always. Mezcal cocktail Considered SubUrban, but it was after midnight Back to Budgie so L could drive G home in the brand new Ford 4x4. Enormous and luxurious. Sensibly and conveniently she also drove me back to my place on the way

Breakfast w/ N at "Mylkbar" (in Mitcham rd) "If you go to a gig and people have their phones out to record the experience: more than half will be holding their phone in portrait If you hold your phone in landscape these days (like i still do) then it's like o.k. boomer territory" Up to APOD to connect my package of 12x IPAs Dropped in to foragers for a pot. I forgot it's trivia night, which Jesse hosts. Kyle is the bartender I watched Deliverance (1972). Classic for a reason. I have put it at number 26, because i don't think it is very re-watchable (compared to other films i saw this year) but it definitely a high quality flick, the scenery is superb

Morning coffee & a croissant at manta-ray Trivia at railway hotel, fitzroy ~ 7:30pm The place is great, it is like someone's mum is running the trivia — but that didn't matter. It's quiet and civilized and not very humorous. Beers great. Wines cheap. Meals generous. Total steps: 6,000

Breakfast with N in blackburn at Rubix Rainy drizzly day, so we didn't get to go for a walk My latest ebay purchase got delivered safely, a japanese rhino beetle. I'm really happy with it Did weights & listened to podcasts (Alt Ctrl Speech) some death metal, and some synthwave  VEX Pinot noir in Westgarth Walking up Rucker's hill: Bats speckle the sky Like dots on a dalmation Flying from where they sleep To where they feed Blood Incantation (USA) at Northcote Theatre w/ Secret Chiefs who were eclectic, talented, entertaining • Cosmic metal was fantastic. I smiled the whole time. I thought they might be a great band to see live because of the wacky cosmic sections and the echoey death metal sections. They were better than great. One of my favourite gigs in recent memory  • One dude's tshirt read (in giant letters across his back) COSMIC MUSIC FOR COSMIC PEOPLE. Which is a homage to a famous Morbid Angel tshirt: extreme music for extreme people (which i ha...

Drove in to the Tooronga office, "Friday team day" I was delayed 30 min because i couldn't find my spectacles. I turned the place upside down. But then i did find them inside my pillow case on my pillow. Very pleased that i found it in time! My first task is to locate a replacement power-pack for my laptop: because i evidently left that behind last friday which is frustrating A much more successful day today (We seem to have eliminated the "Meeting-free Friday" for all practical purposes. I had 3 today which were useful.) Grey clouds with drizzle all day. The hottest part of the day was 5pm at 28°C during my drive home • Natural Science • Bar Nearby

Lazy day. I drew a butcher bird for my collection Monday trivia at the fox. We won. I didn't try the chicken burrito/tacos Afterwards, goldie's (4pax) then the tote (3pax) The Tote was actually good for once. I don't like that dive bar, although i respect that it's an institution. For example, the mens' is a disgrace Punk rockers all seemed to be having the best time. I think the headliner was a Swedish band (?) Wolfpack. We saw a bit and it was high-energy, inoffensive punk rock. They were very together. Guessing they may have been an old band from 20 years ago. They had been to Australia before "You guys made me felt young again," said some thuggish looking gentleman with a huge smile on his face

✓ Hop irrigation device My solar-powered hops watering device appears to be working as designed. I'm a bit excited about it It has a mode which will turn on the water (for both plants) and drip for 5 min which gives 1L each And repeats automatically every 12 hours, so that's exactly how much water my hops got each day last year when it went ape shit All i have to do now is keep watering the bucket with 4L per day Today's task list ✓ Had instant coffee ✓ Ordered groceries ✓ Showered ✓ Did dishes ✓ Uploaded beer photos ✓ Played guitar ✓ Did washing ✓ Worked out
